Falcons vs. Buccaneers Point Spread: Thursday Night  NFL Football,Week 9 of the 2016 NFL season gets underway on Thursday night, with an all NFC South contest. The 5-3 Atlanta Falcons make the trip to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two games back at 3-4. Dirk Koetter’s team will look for a series sweep after a Week 1 win in the Georgia Dome. Dan Quinn’s Falcons are coming off a dramatic victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, while the Bucs suffered an overtime loss to the Derek Carr inspired Oakland Raiders.

The Falcons (5-3) lead the NFC South by 1.5 games over Tampa Bay and New Orleans as both the Bucs and Saints have had their bye week already and Atlanta doesn’t until Week 11. Matt Ryan and Co. ended a two-game losing streak — by a combined five points, blowing fourth-quarter leads in both — with a 33-32 thrilling win over visiting Green Bay on Sunday. Ryan hit Mohamed Sanu on an 11-yard touchdown pass with 31 seconds left, and then the Atlanta defense held against Aaron Rodgers.evin Coleman is likely to miss out once again due to his hamstring injury, which means another heavy workload for Devonta Freeman in a juicy matchup. Only six teams have allowed more fantasy points per game to running backs this season, and Freeman should easily be able to add to his 543 rushing yards and 192 receiving yards tally on Thursday.

Atlanta has struggled in recent matchups with the Buccaneers, losing three straight SU and ATS. However, the Falcons have dominated in recent visits to Tampa Bay as betting chalk, winning six straight SU and going 5-0-1 ATS.

Look for Atlanta to extend its lead atop the NFC South with a SU and ATS victory on Thursday night.
